Day-Ahead Generation Dispacth Modeling and Analysis Considering Demand Response Under Time-of-Use Price
This paper, using the price elasticity matrix, studies the day-ahead scheduling plan under the time-of-use (TOU) model, considering demand response (DR).Based on load response curve in the case of the optimal economic benefit of the user side, taking into account the redundant load capacity problems caused by the decline in peak load curve, thermal power units are arranged in the economic sequence. The improved particle swarm algorithm (PSO) is used to solve the model.Numerical example shows that under the TOU,DR can achieve the load shifting effect, which will be enhanced with the increasing peak-valley electricity price difference. The DR can reduce the operation of high energy consumption unit, decrease the electricity purchasing cost and increase the grid benefits, and thereby improve the output stability and operation efficiency of thermal power unit.
