Reactive Voltage Control Strategy for AVC System in Huaihu UHV Project
The operation of Huaihu UHV project has set higher requirements for the reactive voltage control in East China Power Grid. The project automatic voltage control (AVC) system is designed to comprehensively consider various optimization goals while meeting the requirements of power frequency overvoltage limit, such as minimizing the low-capacity and low-resistance actions, minimizing cross reactive power between UHV substation and 500 kV power grid, and minimizing system active power loss. The above optimization objectives may be effectively achieved by Huaihu UHV AVC control strategy, which is characteristic of "Keeping a basic low-capacity and low-resistance switching model as priority, while taking automatic voltage corrective control as complementary".The key component of the control strategy is the reasonable low-capacity and low-resistance switching model of UHV substation.A set of effective switch modes applied to initial operation of UHV project have been obtained through calculating optimal switching strategies under various operation modes of UHV project.
