Hybrid Fault Detection Method Based on Fault Recorder Data
A large amount of alarm and recorder data are generated in substations in the event of fault in power grid, including secondary circuit signals and fault recorder and PMU data.Fault recorder data contains the detailed information of fault evolution, which can be used to diagnose the fault occurrence time and circuit breaker operation duration, the crucial information for power grid diagnosis and intelligent alarm functions. However, the analysis and utility of fault record data for diagnosis purpose requires the staff participation and is time consuming. This paper designs a two-stages fault diagnosis mode for the future development of IEC61850 and digital substations Thereupon,a hybrid algorithm is proposed to analyze the fault recorder data with abrupt change detection as for the major events during a fault, such as fault occurrence, circuit breaker operation.Simulation has been conducted to verify the correctness and efficiency of the proposed algorithm.
