Time synchronization algorithm for Substation Operator Positioning
In wireless sensor networks (WSN),the time synchronization technology is the prerequisite for location, directly affecting the ranging accuracy. To locate the indoor substation operator for a particular application background, the research is conducted on synchronization method with microsecond precision and low power consumption.Through the comparison of various typical time synchronization algorithms,a time synchronization algorithm is proposed to be adopted in accordance with the different reference nodes and target nodes. To achieve time synchronization, the base station and the target node make two-way communication, and reference node uses listening mode. This method can not only guarantee time synchronization accuracy of entire network, but also greatly reduce the energy consumption of sensor nodes.Actual test results show that the proposed method and the classical synchronization method RBS have the same time synchronization accuracy, and greatly reduce the synchronization cost, approporiate for the demand of sensor nodes with only a small amount of limited energy.
