Simulation Research of Micro-grid Energy Management System Control Strategy in Islanding Mode
Micro-grid (MG) is an important part of smart grids, and its operation control is the key technology to maintain grid security and stability, especially when the micro-grid is in the islanding mode for a long time.Microgrid energy management system is closely related with stability of the system control. In this paper, distributed resources in MG are divided into two types:V/f type and P/Q type.Energy management system is introduced for energy balance and the node voltage stability when MG is in the islanding mode.By analyzing the relationship between frequency, node voltages and DG output power of MG,power flow and allocation have been studied under the MG islanding mode.Furthermore,an improved energy management system is proposed based on the MG active and reactive power allocation mechanism.According to the micro-grid structure, allocation of active power is optimized in terms of the location of loads.By using EMTDC/PSCAD,simulation results show that operation control and energy distribution for the MG system can be performed well by the proposed energy management system.
