Analysis of Large-scale Wind Generation Impact on Dispatching and Operation of East China Grid
Large-scale integration of wind generation increases variability and uncertainty of grid dispatching and operation. To study the impact of wind generation on power grid, the concept of “net load” is employed in this paper.Variability characteristics and forecast error distribution are analyzed for both load and net load.Through comparison of statistical characteristics of load and net load, decreased CPS2 and increased reserve requirement due to integration of large-scale wind generation are observed.Analysis also shows that reserve requirement relates closely to the scale of balancing area.
