Effects of Nano-SiOx Particles on LDPE Breakdown Strength
The microstructure between molecular of LDPE and inorganic nano-SiOx particles are analyzed by FTIR,and it is shown that the nano-SiOx wave number of apices becomes smaller,and the LDPE apices become wider.The breakdown strength of pure LDPE and nanocomposite are also measured by DC high voltage generator.From analyzing the test data,it can be seen that the breakdown strength of nanocomposite is higher than that of pure LDPE,and first increases then decreases with the nano-SiOx particles content increasing.The reason is that the addition of nanoSiOx particles to LDPE makes the structure of composite tighter because it acts as a cross point in composite,and makes the reaction between LDPE molecular stronger.Moreover,because the defects in composite become more and more serious with the content of nano-SiOx increasing,the breakdown strength of composite weakens gradually.
