Economic Growth and Power Development Under the Environmental Constraints
In the background of economic restructuring and increasingly prominent environmental issues, the research on the relationship among power, economy and environment is helpful to understand how to meet the economic development needs and achieve sustainable development, energy conservation and emission reduction. As a single pollutant indicator is difficult to explain the overall situation of environmental pollution, this paper constructs a pollution index that reflects the overall environmental pollution, and then studies the relationship among power, economic and environmental pollution. The result shows the power development has a significant positive effect on environmental pollution control. The economic growth model of high energy consumption and high pollution can't support economic sustainable development, but pollution control investment indeed inhibits economic growth. With the increase of the total economy, energy consumption per unit of GDP has declined. To improve the quality of GDP,we can gradually reduce the proportion of industry in GDP and increase the proportion of service industries in the total economy. In addition, increasing the investment ratio of GDP in pollution control also has a significant role. Therefore, under the background of environmental constraints,in order to make power development meet the needs of steady economic growth,we must deepen the structural reform, increase investment in research, enhance the proportion of investment in pollution control, and introduce green electricity and promote its implementation.
