Energy Conservation Analysis on Heater Running Status in HV Switchgear
The condensation in HV switchgear may bring about hazards to electrical equipment, such as crawl flash and flashover. Therefore, based on the condensation mechanism and using the Magnus-Tetens approximation method, this paper researches three running states (normally opened heater in the switchgear,80% RH and dew point) and their respective power consumption.Through calculation and comparison in each state, the analysis indicates that the level of energy waste and CO2 emission of normally opened heater surpasses the other two operating states. Thus, more energy can be saved and more CO2 emissions are reduced when cabinet heater works under dew point condition. This research result has strong practical significance and promotional value.
