Application of Virtual Reality Technology in Power System
In recent years,as an emerging high-tech,virtual reality technology (VRT) has been widely used in various fields.Shanghai Municipal Electric Power Company (SMEPC) of State Grid is the first electric power company to apply this technology into production and operation management.Through the research and utilization of VRT,SMEPC has not only enriched the control means of safe production,but also successfully extended the deployment of information systems to operation fields as well as operation points.These efforts provide a powerful decision-making tool for leaders and managers,an accurate and timely command tool for executives,and an efficient and intelligent operation tool for operators.The depth,breadth and accuracy of safe production and management of the company have been intensified,and the capability of safety and risk control has been improved.The research of VRT will bring profound influence on production and operation management of SMEPC with epoch-making significance.
