Optimization Capacity Allocation Algorithm and Analysis for Wind-Storage Power Joint Operation
The fluctuation of wind power has many adverse effects on its grid integration,which can be commonly suppressed by using battery energy storage device.For overcoming the shortage of comprehensive studies about the issue,this paper proposes an optimization algorithm of battery capacity configuration,considering battery life time and control step length of battery charging and discharging under the condition of meeting the attenuation requirements of wind power fluctuation with battery SOC control.Simulation was conducted under the actual wind farm historical data of Shanghai Chongming Island and the relationship between charge-discharge rate and the required battery capacity is discussed.Then the energy loss of energy storage was also analyzed.This research provides a theoretical basis and reference for the demonstration project of combined power generation between wind and energy storage system.Simulation results show the feasibility and effectiveness of proposed capacity configuration and control algorithm by using actual wind farm historical output data
