On-Site Test Method for Moisture Content of Transformer Oil-Paper Insulation Using the Dielectric Spectroscopy Technology
In order to research the application of this method to power grid, this paper uses frequency-domain dielectric spectroscopy to test the transformers with different voltage level and service life, and compares the experimental results. The experimental results show that the test results of insulation paper respectively by Karl Fischer titration method and the FDS,have a good consistency; moisture content in insulation paper using dielectric spectroscopy has good correlation with the transformer running time and aging degree, and has good consistency with the actual water content of insulation paper; the effects of temperature on polar media such as insulating paper are more complex; the effect of residual charge of FDS is not obvious,so negligible in field applicatio; in wiring test, the transformer should be seperated from the power grid; the wiring of transformer capacitive bushing tap will affect the grounding insulation measurement of its corresponding winding,so it is suggested to suspend the bushing tap for measurement.
