Integration of Digital Technologies and the Real Economy of Enterprises and the Development of New-Quality Productive Forces:Empirical Evidence from Corporate Patent Information
This article uses listed companies in China from 2013 to 2023 as research objects,and by manually organizing 2.08 million pieces of corporate patent information and utilizing deep learning algorithms to analyze patent text semantics,constructs an index for integration of digital technologies and the real economy of enterprises and indicators for new quality productive forces.Empirical testing reveals that the integration of digital technologies and the real economy of enterprises can effectively promote the development of new quality productive forces,and has a promoting effect on two types of new quality productive forces,namely,innovation breakthroughs and green transformation,demonstrating a significant leverage effect.According to the mechanism analysis,the integration of digital technologies and the real economy drives the development of new quality productive forces of enterprises by reducing production costs of enterprises,enhancing management capabilities and curbing R&D manipulation.Through the heterogeneity analysis,it is revealed that the empowering effect of integration of digital technologies and the real economy is more pronounced in large state-owned enterprises and enterprises whose management has stronger innovation awareness and digital thinking.According to the examination of economic consequences,the empowering effect of the integration of digital technologies and the real economy on new quality productive forces of enterprises is a key path to achieving high-quality economic development.
