Drawing on data from Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed companies spanning 2010 to 2023,this paper empirically investigates the influence of entrepreneurship on the development of new quality productive forces. The findings reveal that entrepreneurship significantly advances the development of new quality productive forces,a result that remains robust after addressing endogeneity and conducting robustness checks.Mechanism analysis demonstrates that entrepreneurship drives this development by enhancing corporate innovation performance, lowering financing costs, and strengthening talent effects. Moreover, digital transformation markedly amplifies the positive impact of entrepreneurship on the development of new quality productive forces.Heterogeneity analysis further indicates that this positive effect is especially pronounced in service enterprises,small-scale private enterprises, and firms in the recession stage.
