The Influence Mechanism of Public Willingness to Participate in Food Safety Governance——Based on PPM Model
In order to investigate the influence mechanism of public willingnesstoparticipate in food safety risk governance,an empirical study was conducted on the internal mechanism of public willingnesstopartici-pate in food safety governance based on thepush-pull-anchoring theoretical framework and with the help of structural equationmodel with Bootstrap self-sampling method. The findings revealed that both thrust factors and pull factors significantly enhance public willingnesstoparticipate in food safety governance, while anchor factors significantly inhibit such willingness.Additionally, subjective norms were found to regulate the im-pact of thrust factors and anchor factors on public willingness to participate in food safety governance.Con-sequently,recommendations are proposed to enhance information disclosure systems, diversify participation channels, optimize policy environments, improve supporting systems, and reduce participation costs with an aim to bolster public willingness for engaging in food safety governance.
