In order to explore the synergistic relationship between Beijing's high-quality development and ur-ban comprehensive carrying capacity,a composite evaluation index system was constructed based on the combination of Beijing's high-quality development and urban comprehensive carrying capacity,and the cou-pling coordination degree model was used to quantitatively measure the comprehensive level and coupling coordination relationship of the two systems from 2005 to 2020.The results show that the quality develop-ment index and the comprehensive carrying capacity index of Beijing show an overall growth trend,but they are still in the middle and low level at present.The coupling and coordination degree of Beijing's high-quali-ty development system and urban comprehensive carrying capacity system shows a steady rise,upgrading from the moderate imbalanced coupling to the primary coordinated coupling,but there is still some room for improvement from the high-quality coordinated coupling.Therefore,Beijing should scientifically allocate re-source elements,continuously improve the city's comprehensive carrying capacity,and further promote the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region to achieve high-quality economic and social de-velopment in Beijing.
