Verdicts in ancient litigation served as the equivalent of modern courts'judgment documents.Tang Dynasty verdicts were characterized by persuasive emotional appeals and thorough reasoning,and also possessed significant literary merit.Given the issues in China's current judicial documents—such as rigid formatting,unclear reasoning,lack of literary grace,and absence of emotional reasoning—the Tang Dynasty's emphasis on reasoning with emotion,allusions,morality,and culture offers valuable insights for the reform of China's judicial document reforms.It is advisable to enhance legal expression methods,adopt the logical and emotional expression of Tang Dynasty verdicts,and emphasize the judicial wisdom of judges to aid in the reform of China's judicial documents.
