Preclinical small animal radiotherapy research plays a crucial role in investigating radiobiological mechanisms and exploring cancer therapy strategies, contributing significantly to human cancer studies.Traditional small animal radiation studies suffer from inaccuracies in dose delivery due to the lack of image guidance, resulting in compromised treatment outcome. To overcome this limitation, this study developed an image-guided irradiation method for subcutaneous tumors in mice, based on the precise small animal radiotherapy platform developed in our laboratory. This approach ensures effective tumor control while minimizing damage to healthy tissues, offering an improved method and technology for preclinical subcutaneous tumor irradiation studies.
