An Optimal Control Strategy for the Storage Capacity of the Hybrid Energy System Considering the State of Charge
To smooth the fluctuation of wind power output and to reduce the impact on the power system, this paper proposed an optimal method for the storage capacity of the hybrid energy system considering the state of charge(SOC).In this paper,a moving average control method was used to smooth the output of wind power and a spectrum analysis method was used to de-compose the fluctuating power into high-frequency and low-frequency components, which is respectively suppressed by hybrid energy system. An optimal control strategy of charge power and discharge power was constructed in this paper based on differ-ent charged state intervals of the hybrid energy storage system.Besides,a cost model considering battery cycle time was estab-lished using the optimal annual average cost as the objective function. The simulation results show that the proposed method in this paper can realize smooth control of power fluctuations, optimal power allocation of hybrid energy storage system, keeping the state of charge within a reasonable range and avoiding the state of overcharge and over-discharge.In summary, the method is feasible and economically superior.
