Design and Application of Multi-functional Short Rod Set Tool for Live Working
Currently, insulation pole tools in China are relatively cumbersome, difficult to operate, and have not been fully imple-mented as integrated systems. The traditional insulation rod operation method lacks adaptability for complex line structures and challenging terrain conditions. This paper analyzes the application prospects and limitations of insulation rods and optimizes the design of the operating, insulation, and gripping structures of insulation rod tools.Focusing on the design of the operating rod head for core tasks, and considering ergonomic requirements,a modular replacement and combination approach was developed. This resulted in a simplified and versatile set of short insulation rod tools, which streamlines personnel operation techniques and optimizes associated workflows.Experimental and application results demonstrate that the tool expands the scope of live work-ing,increases the frequency of live operations in power distribution, makes the task lighter and more agile, lowers the physical and professional requirements for operators, and significantly enhances both the safety and efficiency of live working.
