A new marine disasters-Brown tide was confirmed for the first time occurred in 2011 in sea area near Qinhuangdao of china .Our country became the third country to be hit by such tides after U . S .and South Africa .Brown tide is a great harmful and threat to China’s coastal aquaculture ,fishery resources ,ecological environment and human health ,seriously impact on the coastal economy .So strengthening the study of ecology and oceanography related with the brow n tide ,exploring the path-ogenesis of brown tide ,and establish a monitoring network ,forecast the brown tide ,to reduce the harm of brow n tide ,ensure the sustainable development of the coastal areas of China ,has a very im-portant significance .
