Trial for ecological polyculture of Penaeus japonicus and Portunus trituberculatus in first-entry ponds of Tangshan Daqinghe Saltworks
To continuously improve the efficiency of salt field aquaculture,a trial on ecological polycul-ture of the kuruma shrimp Penaeus japonicus and the swimming crab Portunus trituberculatus was conducted in first-entry ponds of Tangshan Daqinghe Saltworks for three consecutive years.The re-sults showed that,the average yield of male crab reached 637.5 kg/hm2 and that of female crab reached 787.5 kg/himn,the average yield of the shrimp was 236.25 kg/hm2.
