Isolation, identification and antibiotic sensitivity of Vibrio parahaemolyticus in Penaeus vannamei from Ningde City
In order to provide the basis of precise use of chemicals in disease control in culture of the whiteleg shrimp Penaeus vannamei in Ningde, the bacteria were isolated from the shrimp from 7 mari-culture farms, and identified by morphological characters, physiological and biochemical characteris-tics,and phylogenetic analysis of 16S rRNA gene. Then, the antibiotic sensitivity of the isolated bac-teria was tested. The results showed that 9 strains of pathogenic bacteria were blue-green in TCBS agar medium.Microscopically,Gram staining revealed Gram-negative non-sporulating bacteria with rod shape, arc shape and oval shape.Physiological and biochemical characteristics showed that the strain was positive in 8 experiments including oxidase reaction, glucose, lysine decarboxylase,or-nithine decarboxylase,mannitol,6%NaCl tryptone water,8%NaCl tryptone water, and motivity. The results demonstrated that the isolated bacteria was identified as Vibrio parahemolyticus.Antibi-otics susceptibility test showed that the 9 strains had high tolerance resistant to penicillin, neomycin and tetracycline, and were highly sensitive to 6 drugs such as enrofloxacin, furazolidone and vancomy-cin.
