Effects of two salinity control methods on the breeding of Litopenaeus vannamei seedlings
To study the effect of salinity regulation on the breeding process of Litopenaeus vannamei fry,a control group with constant salinity during the breeding process and an experimental group with continuously diluted aquaculture water during the breeding process were set up.The effects of differ-ent salinity regulation on the survival rate, coefficient of variation in body length, and body composi-tion of Litopenaeus vannamei fry were compared. The results showed that the hatching rate and total length of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group, and the coefficient of variation of body length was lower than that of the control group. The crude protein and ash content of the control group were significantly higher than those of the experimental group(P<0.05),but the water content was significantly lower than that of the experimental group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in crude fat content between the two groups(P>0.05).Research has shown that continuous dilution during the seedling cultivation process can improve the yield of juvenile shrimp, reduce the coefficient of variation in body length, and improve the uniformity of the seed-lings.
