Study on the appropriate stocking density for the cultivation of Penaeus monodon in saline-alkali ponds
In order to explore the appropriate stocking density for the cultivation of the shrimp P enaeus monodon in saline-alkali ponds with the same condition and area, after disinfection and fertilization of the water, the large fries of the shrimp were cultured under the stocking densities of 105 000,150 000,195 000,and 225 000 ind./hm2,respectively,the harvest size, survival rate, growth rate, yield, and profit were used as evaluation indicators for comparative analysis. The results showed that in the range of stocking density of 105 000~225 000 ind./hm2,the harvest size and the survival rate of the shrimp gradually decreased with the increase of the stocking density.Although the yield in-creased,the profit was less due to the lower price of small-sized shrimp.Under the stocking density of 105 000 ind./hm2,the survival rate of the shrimp was high, the harvest size was large, the price was high, and the profit was the highest.Under the stocking density of 150 000 ind./hm2,the yield was higher, the harvest size and price were accepted by the local market, and the profit was slightly lower. Thus the appropriate stocking density can also be decided according to the local market.
