Analysis of economic benefits of Litopenaeus vannamei aquiculture in low-salinity ponds in Liaoning Province
To predict the profit and risk of Litopenaeus vannamei low-salinity pond aquaculture in Li-aoning Province and make optimal decisions, this paper compared and analyzed the economic benefits of the two main aquaculture modes, namely, pond green house aquaculture and earth pond intensive aquaculture. The results showed that the annual average input cost of the earth pond greenhouse mode was 1.90 times that of the earth pond intensive aquaculture mode, but the difference in cost composi-tion was not significant. The variable costs were the main expenditure items, accounting for 79.55%and 71.66%of the total cost in the two modes, respectively. Both modes had the highest sensitivity coefficient to sales price for net profit, with the break-even yield less than 0.5 kg/m2,and the break-even point for utilizing the existing production capacity less than 40%.The yield, revenue, and net profit of the earth pond greenhouse mode were 0.55 kg/m2,29.95 yuan/m2,and 14.19 yuan/m2 higher than those of the earth pond intensive aquaculture mode, respectively. The profit rate of cost, profit rate of sales and input-output ratio were also higher than the latter by 44.17%,30.63%and 1∶1.44.The results showed that the earth pond greenhouse mode was better than the earth pond in-tensive cultivation mode in terms of cost control, sales profitability and unit capital return.
