Case study of artificial ecosystem for tailwater treatment in shrimp hatchery farm
To promote sustainable and healthy development of the fishery industry, develop green and healthy aquaculture, and carry out aquaculture effluent treatment work, the technology of effluent treatment was introduced in the artificial ecosystem of shrimp hatchery using the example of the shrimp hatchery effluent treatment demonstration base in Zhao'an,Fujian Province. The shrimp hatch-ery effluent treatment demonstration base uses a multi-stage effluent treatment process to form an artificial ecosystem effluent treatment system by using various bacteria, algae, mollusks, fish, and a-quatic plants. This effectively purifies the aquaculture effluent and reduces the content of COD,N,and P in the effluent, thus achieving effluent discharge standards. Moreover, the effluent treatment system operates simply and has low maintenance costs.
