Mines need high reliability safety monitoring and emergency information system.Based on the principle of fiber grating measurement,combined with three kinds of fiber grating sensors,such as roof separation,bolt stress and surrounding rock stress,this paper studies a passive optical fiber intelligent remote monitoring system for mine roof based on the principle of fiber grating measurement,which can meet the standard requirements of non-electrified,safe and on-site display of coal mine monitoring site.The test application was carried out in the 3109 auxiliary air intake roadway of Huayang Xinjing Mine.The results show that the roof separation,bolt stress and surrounding rock stress increase with the decrease of the distance from the working face,which is in line with the law of mine pressure.The maximum surrounding rock stress is 23.3 MPa,the maximum bolt stress is 81 kN,and the maximum roof separation is 40 mm.The effect of bolt inhibiting roof separation is remarkable.
