Study of factors affecting contact absorption of CO2 by PTFE membrane
In order to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from shipping, seawater was selected as the absorber, and the decarbonization rate was used as the evaluation index to investigate the effects of seawater temperature, seawater flow rate,CO2 gas mixture flow rate,CO2 concentration, and seawater pH value on the absorption of CO2.The results showed that seawater temperature and pH value affected the solubility and neutralization reaction of CO2,with the highest decarbonization rates respectively of 64.83%and 87.67%at the temperature of 18 ℃ and pH=8.The concentration of CO2 affects the difference in CO2 concentration between the gas and liquid phases, and the highest decarbonization rate(67.81%)at 20%,Seawater flow rate affected the renewal rate of the absorbent at the gas-liquid contact surface, and the best decarbonization rate is 200 L/h.CO2 gas mixture flow rate affected the residence time of the mixture in the membrane contact reactor, and the decarbonization rate was the best at 0.10 m3/h optimized conditions for contact absorption of CO2 by PTFE membranes.
