Effect of different catalysts on properties of oleic acid modified by polyethylene glycols
In order to improve the stability of hydraulic fluid and ensure the reliability of hydraulic support, oleic acid was modified with polyethylene glycol, and the effects of different catalysts on the properties of the modified products were studied. The appearance, conductivity,Zeta potential, surface tension and average particle size of the diluted solution were investigated by using 500 mg/L artificial hard water as the mixture water. The experimental results show that the products catalyzed by inorganic and organic strong acids have good dispersibility in artificial hard water, and appearance is transparent.Their electrical conductivity is slightly improved compared with that of artificial hard water itself. The surface tension is above 40 mN/m,showing good hydrophilic ability, and the average particle size is below 30 nm,showing good stability in artificial hard water.
