Discussion on distribution characteristics and causes of sulfur in coal of Chenjiagou Coal Mine in Liupanshui Coalfield
The main coal-bearing strata in Liupanshui coalfield is the Permian Yangxin Longtan Formation, which is a set of marine-continental alternating multi-rotation sedimentary strata. This stratum has a large sedimentary thickness,a wide distribution range and a large number of coal seams in Liupanshui coalfield.Coal rock composition and coal rock type, especially the content and distribution of micro coal rock type and micro coal rock composition, can best reflect the coal-forming environment.Various coal rock composition information contains many environmental information when peat swamp is formed.Through a large number of exploration work in Chenjiagou Coal Mine, more than 800 samples were taken from each coal seam in the mining area for testing and analysis. The results showed that the sulfur content of coal seam in the mining area changed greatly. The total sulfur content of dry base of raw coal was 0.12%-9.75%,with an average of 1.85%.The sulfur content of coal in the area was high in the upper and lower parts, low in the middle, and higher in the bottom than in the upper part. The formation and change of sulfur in coal were affected by the change of sea intrusion and regression. The mass fraction of sulfur in coal formed in the transitional phase was high, while the iron sulfide sulfur and sulfate sulfur in floating coal were greatly reduced, indicating that the inorganic sulfur in coal was easy to be washed. It plays a guiding role in the later washing and utilization of coal.
