Effect of calcium ammonium nitrate on the growth and carbon-nitrogen metabolism of Populus×canadensis Moench and Populus simonii Carr.cuttings
This test studied the effects of different amounts of calcium ammonium nitrate application on the growth and carbon-nitrogen metabolism of Populus×canadensis Moench and Populus simonii Carr.cuttings, and it want to be provided the theoretical basis for the scientific application of calcium ammonium nitrate in their seedling cultivation. The experiment was conducted under field conditions, using annual cutting seedlings as test materials, with calcium ammonium nitrate application rates set by 0 g/plant(CK),2.0g/plant,4.5 g/plant,7.0g/plant,and 9.5 g/plant analyzed and compared the growth and carbon and nitrogen metabolism related indicators of seedlings in various treatment. The results showed that the Populus×canadensis Moench and Populus simonii Carr.plant height of 7.0g/plant treatment was higher than 0 g/plant(CK)by 39.22%and 32.91%respectively,and the ground diameter was higher than CK by 75.22%and 39.95%respectively,the root dry matter accumulation was higher than CK by 27.98%and 17.75%respectively,the stem dry matter accumulation was higher than CK by 36.24%and 33.11%respectively,and the leaf dry matter accumulation was higher than CK by 28.58%and 44.60%respectively;the total carbon and total nitrogen content in the xylem and bark of two types of poplar in 7.0 g/plant treatment was significantly higher than CK,while the 9.5 g/plant treatment did not significantly increase the total carbon and total nitrogen content in the xylem and bark of both types of poplar compared to the 7.0 g/plant treatment;the starch and NSC content in the bark of the two types of poplar trees in 7.0 g/plant treatment was significantly higher than the 4.5 g/plant treatment, while the difference in xylem was not significant;compared with the control, the total carbon, total nitrogen, starch, and NSC content of the two types of poplar trees in 2.0 g/plant treatment did not significantly higher than CK.Comprehensive analysis that the suitable application rate of calcium ammonium nitrate for the two types of poplar cutting seedlings is 7.0 g/plant.
