Research on forest fire risk zoning in Wutai Mountain forest region of Shanxi province
In order to strengthen the targeted development of forest fire prevention in the Wutai Mountain forest area,this study takes the Wutai Mountain forest area in Shanxi province as the research object,based on the Wutai Mountain forest resource survey data,combined with the collection data of the main tree species in the forest area combustible material load,Wutai Mountain meteorological data,and used the relevant methods and principles of the geographic information system analyze the forest combustible factors,topographic factors,anthropogenic activity factors,and climate factors in the Wutai Mountain forest area with the aid of the overlay analysis method and the buffer analysis method.The expert scoring method and the analytic hierarchy process were used to assign values to the fire risk factors,combined with the relevant technical methods of GIS,to form the forest fire risk zoning map of the Wutai Mountain forest area.The research results indicate that:the medium,high,and extremely high fire risk areas within the forest fire risk zoning map of Wutai Mountain were close to 74%of the total area,reaching 50430.55 hm2.The area of extremely high fire risk area is 6313.70 hm2,mostly concentrated in areas where there were more human activities and pure coniferous forests,such as Nanlianggou,Dachajian,Changchengling,Tongqiangou,Taihuai Town,etc.;the low and extremely low fire risk areas were mostly concentrated in deep mountain forest areas with higher altitudes and less human activities.Roads,residential areas,farmland,forest on both sides of the mound and pure coniferous forest areas were prone to forest fires.Finally,fire prevention countermeasures are proposed for forest combustible factors,terrain factors,climate factors,and human activities factors,which provided references for forest fire prevention in Wutai Mountain forest area.
