In the maintenance and production at railway depots,the inspection and repair of freight car doors on open wagons is a critical step.To address the issues of low efficiency,high labor intensity,and environmental pollution caused by traditional manual welding methods,this study proposes the development of an automatic welding machine for the hinges of lower side doors on railway freight cars.The machine is designed to achieve functions such as automatic feeding,automatic positioning of door hinges,fully automated welding of lower side door hinges,and automatic outputting and stacking of finished products.The use of automatic welding equipment has improved the efficiency and welding quality of railway freight car maintenance operations,reduced industrial pollution such as waste gas,wastewater,and noise,enhanced the working environment,met environmental protection requirements,and yielded good economic,social,and environmental benefits.
