Using Lyrics as Novels:A Preliminary Discussion on the Characteristics of Lyric Style in Qiong Yao's Novels
Qiong Yao's novels have an inseparable relationship with Chinese classical literature.In terms of literary genre,her novels are primarily novels,but their relationship with the literary genre of lyrics and poetry is even closer.In addition to naming the novel title based on words and phrases at the textual level and citing and imitating words for expression needs,the novels have more profound characteristics in terms of character images,narrative perspectives,and content styles.These features,on the one hand,enhance the cultural heritage and readability of the novel,forming a unique Qiong Yao style;on the other hand,it has to some extent led to the shortcomings of Qiong Yao's novels being single in content and monotonous in style.
