摘要
文章以自建政治语篇语料库为基础,对中文政治语篇中的动物隐喻英译策略进行研究,重点探讨了中文政治语篇中15 种高频动物之隐喻英译的策略,并进行了认知分析和解释.研究发现,这些动物隐喻英译时主要采用直译和意译两种策略:虎、蝇、狐、狼、骆驼、羊、象、黑天鹅、灰犀牛的隐喻英译时多使用直译;龙、鱼、马、牛、雁的隐喻英译时则更倾向于意译.
Abstract
This paper,based on a Chinese-English bilingual political text corpus,studies the C-E translation strategies of animal metaphors and the cognitive interpretation,focusing on the top 15 high-frequency animals.The research reveals two primary approaches:literal translation more commonly applied to metaphors involving tigers,flies,foxes,wolves,camels,sheep,elephants,black swans,and rhinos;and free translation preferred for metaphors relating to dragons,fish,horses,oxen,and geese.
