A Comparative Study of the English Translation of "A Moonlit Night on the Spring River" From the Perspective of Eco-translatology
"A Moonlit Night on The Spring River"is a classic poem by Zhang Ruoxu in the Tang Dynasty.Its elegant language,profound cultural connotation,tranquil artistic conception has always been favored by many translators.The adaptive selection theory of eco-translatology provides a unique perspective and paradigm for the translation and practice of Chinese classical poetry.Based on eco-translatology,this article makes an analysis of the English translations by Charles Budd,Fletcher and Xu Yuanchong from the perspective of three-dimensional transformation.The results show that Xu's version is a translation with with the highest degree of holistic adaptation and selection.
