The Time-Space Evolution Characteristics of Regional Economic Growth Differences and Convergence in China
The article is based on the perspective of dynamic evolution, using Dagum Gini coefficient and Kernel density estimation method to examine the differences and convergence characteristics of regional economic growth in China, and analyzing the influencing factors of conditional convergence from the perspective of dynamic common correlation effects. The results indicate that the overall Gini coefficient of regional economic growth in China shows a fluctuating downward trend. The trend of Gini coefficient changes in the four major sectors of East,Central,West, and Northeast China is consistent with the overall trend of Gini coefficient changes in China's regional economic growth. The regional differences among the four major sectors are the main reason for the differences in regional economic growth in China. The economic differentiation in the eastern region is the main reason for the widening absolute gap. There is conditional convergence in regional economic growth in China, and the stock of human capital and material capital are the main factors promoting the convergence of regional economic growth conditions.
