Education Human Capital Investment and Regional Coordinated Development——Empirical Research on the Yangtze River Delta Region
Against the background of major strategic research on regional integration and innovation driven development in the Yangtze River Delta region,this article takes 41 prefecture level cities in the region as research objects and conducts relevant empirical research using panel data from 2010 to 2019.Through the threshold effect model,it is empirically found that the single threshold effect of educational human capital is significant,and the promotion effect of economic growth is more significant above the threshold value compared to below it.The mediating effect model was used to empirically test the direct and indirect paths of educational human capital promoting economic growth.It was found that educational human capital investment can not only directly act as a production input factor on economic growth,but also act on economic growth through technological innovation.
