Hegang is located in the Golden Triangle area surrounded by the"Two Rivers and One Ridge",with dense forests,fertile land,and abundant resources.Due to the remote location and inconvenient transportation in Hegang area,the development was delayed.The development of Hegang area began with the mining of Taipinggou gold mine in the late Qing Dynasty.The mining of Taipinggou gold mine attracted a large number of refugees and merchants to make a living here,laying the foundation for the later development of agriculture and forestry in Hegang area.With the increase of population,villages and towns in Hegang area gradually emerged,and the establishment of Xingdong Road was the beginning of Hegang's governance,which stimulated the development of Hegang area.
