"Daughter of the River"is an autobiographical novel by overseas Chinese author Hong Ying.The novel presents the hardships and psychological trauma experienced by the protagonist Liuliu during her childhood,showcasing her journey of breaking through the marginalized identity,overcoming psychological trauma,and moving towards self-reconciliation and self-shaping.Starting from the perspective of trauma theory,this article takes the psychological trauma of the protagonist Liuliu as the research object,focusing on analyzing the psychological trauma representations caused by her emotional loss and identity confusion.It explains how writing can reproduce memories and repair psychological trauma,highlighting the important role of trauma writing in the process of trauma healing.
