Re-examination and Interpretation of Stone Carvings in Tazicheng,Tailai County,Heilongjiang Province During the"7th Da'an Year"of the Liao Dynasty
A Liao Dynasty stone tablet(remains)was unearthed in Tazicheng,Tailai County,Heilongjiang Province.Due to the inscription"7th Year of Da'an,Second Xin"on the tablet, scholars often refer to it as a Liao Dynasty"7th Year of Da'an"carved stone.Stone carvings are of great value for the geographical research of Taizhou during the Liao and Jin dynasties,as well as the interpretation of official positions during the Liao Dynasty. The academic interpretation of inscriptions is generally consistent, but through field visits and data comparison,it has been found that there are many problems such as the coexistence of simplified and complex inscriptions, different interpretations of the same characters, and dating of ancient pagodas.
