Research on the Mechanism System by Which the Information Technology Industry Drives High-Quality Growth of Regional Economy
The information technology industry,as a strategic emerging and leading industry,has injected strong impetus into the high-quality development of regional economy through continuous technological innovation and industrial upgrading.Based on data from China's five major economic regions from 2013 to 2022,a vector autoregression model was constructed under the guidance of industrial development theory,regional economic coordinated development theory,and high-quality economic development theory.According to the model validation results,during the research period,there was a significant correlation between the development of the top five comprehensive economic regions and their information technology industry,which manifested as a virtuous cycle.From the perspective of spatial effects,research has found that the information technology industry in the five coastal comprehensive economic zones has a positive impact on high-quality economic development,while the high-quality economic development of neighboring provinces has a restraining effect on the information technology industry in their own comprehensive economic regions.This finding has important theoretical significance and practical value for deepening regional economic coordination and promoting economic development.
