Critical Discourse Analysis(CDA),as a significant field within linguistics research,aims to uncover the relationships between discourse,power,and ideology.By utilizing the visual analytic tool CiteSpace,this study conducts a bibliometric analysis of research articles related to"critical discourse analysis"retrieved from the CNKI database,specifically from journals indexed in CSSCI.This analysis provides insights into the current status and emerging trends in domestic research on critical discourse analysis.The study finds a steady increase in the annual publication volume of domestic research on critical discourse analysis from 1998 to 2023.Universities with foreign language departments and faculty of foreign languages in universities are identified as the primary contributors to research output,often engaging in independent or small-scale collaborative efforts.Key areas of focus in domestic research on critical discourse analysis include"corpus""ideology""discourse analysis""constructivism"and"intertextuality".In recent years,there has been a trend towards analyzing critical discourses in the construction of national identity and incorporating quantitative research methodologies from corpus linguistics.
