Research on the application of a new orthopedic joint limiting device
Objective To study the application effect of a newly developed orthopedic joint limiting device in the treatment and rehabilitation of orthopedic trauma patients.Methods A total of 120 patients with fracture admitted to our department of Orthopedics were selected as the study objects from January 2023 to October 2023,and were divided into traditional group(CT group)(60 cases)and innovation group(CX group)(60 cases)by random number ta-ble method.The traditional joint limiting device was applied in the clinical treatment and reha-bilitation of patients in CT group,and the orthopedic joint limiting device of the utility model was applied in the clinical treatment and rehabilitation of patients in CX group.The fracture healing time,the removal time of the limit device,the incidence of complications,the fall off rate of the limit device,and the wearing comfort of the limit device were compared between the two groups.Results The healing time of upper limb and lower limb fracture and the removal time of limit device in CX group were shorter than those in CT group(P<0.05).The shed-ding rate of the limiting device in CX group was 0%,lower than that in CT group(8.33%)(P<0.05).The comfort score of patients in CX group was higher than that in CT group(P<0.05).The total incidence of compression ulcer,thrombosis,osteofascial compartment syn-drome and infection complications in CX group was 5%,which was lower than that in CT group(13.33%)(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with the traditional device,the new orthope-dic joint limit device can effectively accelerate the wound healing time of patients,reduce the incidence of complications,and improve the comfort of patients wearing the limit device.
