Clinical efficacy analysis of Ginkgo biloba leaf extract combined with low molecular weight heparin in preventing DVT in fracture patients
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of Ginkgo biloba leaf extract combined with low molecular weight heparin in preventing deep vein thrombosis(DVT)in patients with fractures. Methods Five hundred patients with lower limb fractures who visited our hospital from December 2021 to December 2023 were selected and randomly divided into treatment group and control group, with 250 cases in each group. The control group received convention-al anticoagulation treatment with low molecular weight heparin sodium, while the treatment group received Ginkgo biloba leaf extract(Shuxuening injection)in addition to conventional anticoagulation treatment. The incidence of DVT,changes in coagulation indicators, and inci-dence of adverse reactions were observed in both groups of patients. Results The total inci-dence of DVT in the treatment group was 13.6%,which was statistically significant compared with the control group of 19.6%(P<0.05);In each subgroup, the treatment group showed statistically significant differences in femoral condylar and intercondylar fractures(22%vs 28%),femoral shaft fractures(12%vs 18%),and hip fractures(11.3%vs 17.3%)com-pared with the control group; After admission, there was no statistically significant difference in activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT),prothrombin time(PT),thrombin time(TT),fi-brinogen content(Fg),and D-dimer(D-Dimer)between the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05);The differences in postoperative coagulation routine between the PT,Fg,D-Dimer between treatment group and the control group were statistically significant(P<0.05),while there was no statistically significant difference in APTT and TT between the two groups(P>0.05);The differences in APTT,Fg,and D-Dimer between the thrombotic and non thrombotic groups were statistically significant(P<0.05),while there was no statistically significant difference in PT and TT between the two groups(P>0.05);Both groups of pa-tients had no significant adverse reactions. Conclusion Ginkgo biloba leaf extract combined with low molecular weight heparin can effectively reduce the incidence of DVT in high inci-dence site fractures without increasing the incidence of complications. The clinical efficacy is significant and can be used as an effective strategy for preventing DVT in high incidence site fractures in future clinical practice.
