Analysis on fairness and efficiency of medical resource allocation in pedi-atrics of Chinese medicine in Henan Province in 2021
Aim:To analyze the fairness and efficiency of the medical resource allocation in pediatrics of Chinese medi-cine in Henan Province in 2021.Methods:Lorentz curve,Gini coefficient,and DEA method were used to study the fairness and efficiency of the distribution by population and geographical area of all the medical resources in pediatrics of Chinese medicine in Henan Province in 2021.Results:In Henan Province in 2021,the number of beds per thousand population in the pediatrics of Chinese medicine was 0.214,and the number of beds per thousand square meters was 0.028.Gini coeffi-cients of population distribution of the number of beds,medical practitioners(and assistant physicians),and nurses were 0.27,0.25,and 0.25,respectively,which was in a fair state;Gini coefficients of geographical area distribution were 0.41,0.41,and 0.40,respectively,which was not in a fair state.Among all the prefecture level administrative regions in Henan,5 regions(27.8%)hada DEAcomprehensiveefficiencyof1.000.Conclusion:Therearesignificantdifferencesintheal-location of traditional Chinese medicine pediatric medical resources among different administrative regions in Henan Prov-ince.There are both excessive input and insufficient output of resources,therefore the efficiency of resource allocation needs to be improved.
