Predictive value of serum procalcitonin level within 24 hours after opera-tion for short-term outcomes of lung transplantation
Aim:To explore the predictive value of serum PCT level within 24 hours after operation for short-term out-comes of lung transplantation. Methods:Data of patients underwent lung transplantation in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2021 to June 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.Serum PCT level within 24 hours after operation was detected.During 6 months after operation,30 cases died,49 cases were survival. Results:The serum PCT lev-el within 24 hours after operation were 1.330(0.384,7.225)ng/mL in the death group and 0.430(0.135,1.185)ng/mL in the survival group, and the difference was significant(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis results showed that the short-term death risk of lung transplantation patients elevated with the increase of serum PCT level, and OR(95%CI)was 1.416(1.126-1.781).AUC(95%CI)of ROC curve of serum PCT level within 24 hours after operation to predict short-term death was 0.711(0.587-0.835).Conclusion:Serum PCT level within 24 hours after operation maybe have predic-tive value for the outcomes within 6 months after lung transplantation.
