Predictive value of SII,SIRI and AISI for the formation of carotid artery plaques in hypertensive patients
Aim:To explore the predictive value of systemic immune-inflammatory index(SII),systemic inflammatory response index(SIRI),and systemic inflammatory aggregation index(AISI)for the formation of carotid artery plaques in hy-pertensive patients. Methods:A total of 465 hypertensive patients diagnosed by carotid artery ultrasound examination in the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 1,2023 to June 30,2023 were screened.Among them,326 patients with carotid artery plaque formation was the plaque group and 139 patients without was control group.Blood biochemical tests were performed and SII,SIRI,and AISI were calculated. Results:SII,SIRI,AISI of the plaque group were 450.72(283.76,769.99),71(50,110),160.64(91.58,272.53),and those of control group were 319.81(233.65,406.69),45(35,59),110.48(73.78,141.49),respectively,and SII,SIRI,AISI of the plaque group were higher than those of control group(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis results showed that SII,SIRI and AISI were significantly associated with carotid plaque formation in hypertension patients after adjusting for age, gender, systolic blood pressure, diabetes and hyperlipidemia,OR(95%CI)was 1.004(1.003-1.006),1.035(1.024-1.047),1.010(1.006-1.013),respectively.The ROC curve analysis results showed that the AUC(95%CI)of SII,SIRI,and AISI predicting carotid plaque formation in hypertensive patients was 0.685(0.637-0.733),0.752(0.707-0.797),and 0.680(0.631-0.728),respectively.Conclusion:SII,SIRI,and AISI may be helpful for predicting the risk of carotid artery plaque formation in hy-pertensive patients.
