Diagnostic value of two-dimensional ultrasound combined with microvas-cular blood flow imaging for testicular tuberculosis
Aim:To explore diagnostic value of two-dimensional ultrasound combined with microvascular blood flow im-aging(MV-flow)for testicular tuberculosis. Methods:Totally 91 patients with suspected testicular tuberculosis, who accept-ed two-dimensional ultrasound, color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI)and MV-flow imaging in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January to December 2023 were collected.Using pathological results as the gold standard, the di-agnostic efficacy of two-dimensional ultrasound combined with MV-flow and two-dimensional ultrasound combined with CDFI was evaluated.Blood flow pixel ratio of MV-flow and CDFI was calculated.Another 20 patients were collected and intra-class correlation coefficient(ICC)was obtained based on vascular index(VI)from MV-flow.Results:A total of 80 out of 91 pa-tients were diagnosed with testicular tuberculosis. The diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, accuracy of two-dimensional ultra-sound combined with MV-flow were 96.3%,54.6%,91.2%,higher than those(87.5%,18.2%,79.1%)of two-dimen-sional ultrasound combined with CDFI.Blood flow pixel ratio of MV-flow was higher than that of CDFI[(2.13±0.81)%vs(1.86±0.70)%](P=0.360).The diagnostic consistency of VI within and between observers was favorable[ICC(95%CI)was 0.874(0.683-0.950)and 0.945(0.860-0.978)].Conclusion:Two-dimensional ultrasound combined with MV-flow have higher diagnostic efficacy for testicular tuberculosis than two-dimensional ultrasound combined with CDFI.
